Perfect Garlic Butter Spaghetti

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti – 200 g
  • Water – 2 liters
  • Salt – 10 g
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Olive oil – 30 ml
  • Grated Parmesan cheese – 50 g
  • Fresh parsley (optional) – 5 g

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pasta:
    • Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook spaghetti according to package instructions (usually 8–10 minutes) until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • While the spaghetti cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add finely minced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant (around 1–2 minutes). Be careful not to burn it.
  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
    • Drain the cooked spaghetti, reserving 50 ml of pasta water.
    • Add the spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to coat evenly.
    • If needed, add the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  4. Finish the Dish:
    • Remove from heat, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and mix well.
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
